The New Cain Fort

This is the new place.  Furniture came this week and it all looks great.  It was used this weekend by Brennon and 7 of his closest friends and Ben and his 2 friends.  Ping pong table is a hit.  Should be many tournaments to come.  Everyone will be happy to know that even with the buckets of rain that fell Saturday the drainage system handle it all.  Blogger would only take 4 picks so look for a second blog with 4 more pics.  Can't wait till summer.  Only 4 more days of school.

Hot Tub in the Rain

Laura and I had to do a hottub on June 18th...cuz it's one of the longest days of the year...even if the weather blows!!! Off to Myrtle on Friday!

Bob got the honors of being first to carve his name in the new concrete....we all took turns. Its funny the silly things you do after drinking all afternoon.

Here are the  latest carriage house photos.  Things are moving now.  They will be tamping the stone in the garage this week and then pouring the concrete on Saturday.  (April 25th)  Sliding glass door is also going in this week. Then come the stairs.  That will be big.  Did anyone notice that the cottage proper is just a "wee bit of a thing".  It looks a little ridiculous.  Anyway you will all be relieved that I have picked out all the furnishing and bedding and we will be ready to move in the minute it is finished.  See you all in June!!  Just kidding,  maybe May 30th.

Cool Shoes

Wanted to show you all these cool new shoes I came across. They have them for all seasons. I love them because not only do they come in cool colors, they are actually comfortable. I never thought I would own 1 pair let alone 3!

From left to right: the summer flip flop croc, Hydro Croc and the fleece lined Croc- perfect color that can be worn year round. Might even work good on those cool nights by the lake.

This is the Hydro Croc- perfect for land to Seadoo and back again. No liners so no stinky smell or that problem of putting the lining back in everytime you take them off. Pretty cool.

Dan is trying a pair also. I think these are going to be great SeaDoo shoes. I have a feeling I am going to see a lot of Crocs on the water by the end of the Summer.
